Yakima Fire Department (YFD) crews responded early this morning, Wednesday, April 17th, to a fire in the 500 block of South 12th Street.
YFD responded to the call at 3:06 am this morning, Wednesday, and found a detached garage fully involved with fire. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, preventing damage to the other nearby structures.
The garage and its contents are considered a total loss. The initial estimated dollar loss is $20,000
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
Approximately 13 YFD firefighters were on scene responding to the fire.
