Yakima Fire Department (YFD) responded to a fire last night, Wednesday, July 10th, in the 400 of South 3rd Street.
YFD responded to the call at 10:30pm last night and found a fire in an alley that had extended to a single-family. Crews extinguished the fire, which had burned not only the outside of the but had extended into the attic space. They worked on scene for about an to ensure the fire was completely out.
Firefighters searched the interior of the residence and found no one at home.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is being investigated at this time by YFD and the Yakima Police Department.
The initial estimated dollar loss was $20,000. The estimated value of the property is $100,000.
Approximately 16 YFD firefighters were on scene responding to the fire.
