A structure fire on South 1st Street caused an estimated $500,000 in damages last night, Thursday.
Yakima Fire Department (YFD) firefighters were called to the 1600 block of South 1st Street at 6:46 pm last night, where they found the fire fully involved and extending into two other buildings.
No injuries were reported.
The building where the fire began is considered a total loss.
YFD crews were able to save the other buildings, though the structures sustained exterior fire damage.
Property damages are estimated at $400,000, with another $100,000 in damages for building contents.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A total of 29 firefighters responded to the scene. YFD was assisted by the Yakima Training Center Fire Department.
