At 12:04 am Thursday, May 27th, YFD responded to a fire in the 1600 block of Fruitvale Boulevard involving a motor home.
A search revealed one person perished from the fire. The occupant was a 56-year-old woman and she is believed to be the fire victim.
The Yakima County Coroner and Yakima Police Department are investigating the cause of death.
The fire had begun to spread to adjacent residences, but firefighters arrived and quickly extinguished it. The motor home was a complete loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
