North 6th Street Fire Displaces Eight People, One Treated for Smoke Inhalation

One person was treated for smoke inhalation and a total of eight people were displaced due to a fire involving a six-plex last night, Saturday, February 13th.

The fire was reported at 8:10 pm last night in the 500 block of North 6th Street.

Yakima Firefighters Begin Receiving COVID-19 Vaccine

First responders with the Yakima Fire Department (YFD) began receiving the COVID-19 vaccine today, Tuesday.

They received the Pfizer vaccination this morning at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. They were the first from YFD to receive the vaccine and additional first responders will continue to receive it.

The Yakima Fire Department (YFD) responded to two structure fires in a span of about 40 minutes early this morning, Monday, November 16th.
