The Yakima Fire Department (YFD) responded to a fire last night, Monday, involving a commercial kitchen at 6560 W. Nob Hill Boulevard.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 9:27 pm Monday. Crews arrived to find the kitchen hood suppression system extinguished the fire. Firefighters were on scene for about an hour.
Two workers in the kitchen sustained minor burn injuries. They were assessed, treated and released at the scene.
The cause is under investigation. The initial estimated dollar loss is $45,000.
The Yakima Health District was contacted as fire suppression system fluid was dispersed in the kitchen area.
